Behind The Wheel
Students must be 15 years old and have completed the classroom portion of drivers education in order to be eligible for their Learners Permit and begin Behind the Wheel lessons.
Behind the Wheel lessons are designed to develop confidence in our students while getting hands-on experience. Our certified instructors are there to educate students about the rules of the road, while also teaching maneuvers and everyday skills. Examples of skills taught in Behind the Wheel lessons include y-turns, parking, uncontrolled intersections, highways, and much more.
Students have two options when choosing the Behind the Wheel package. The regular Behind the Wheel package includes 6 Behind the Wheel lessons. Each lesson is 2 hours long where the student will drive for one hour and observe for one hour. Our premium Behind the Wheel package includes 9 Behind the Wheel lessons, where each is only one hour with the student only driving for that hour. Each of the packages satisfies the requirement with the Wisconsin DOT.
